Join a Committee

Habitat of Trenton currently has a variety of committees that you can get involved with.

Partner Family Relations Committee:

The Partner Family Committee is responsible for all relations with the partners who are interested in homeownership with Habitat. Responsibilities include planning for and running quarterly application seminars, reviewing applications, selecting potential partners, providing education classes, and helping the families throughout their entire home-buying process. Volunteers are also needed to becoming coaches for new partner families. Coaches work with the Partner throughout the home-buying process, acting as a friend and mentor for the year leading up to their move-in. To become involved, please contact Ruth Kingsbury at

Construction Committee:

The construction committee is responsible for making decisions at various points throughout the construction process. They have a say in deciding which houses to accept for Critical Home Repairs, and for many details about new home constructions. To become involved, please contact Joe Mutinsky at: or call 609-577-9142

Anyone is welcome to join a committee, however we do ask for regular commitment. The committees meet at the discretion of the committee chair. Normally committees meet once a month.
