Sandy Relief volunteers honored as Molina Community Champions
Congratulations and thanks for all your hard work, Ron, Serge, Dave, Bill, Dan and Barb!
Habitat of Trenton has spent months helping with an affiliate in Union Beach, NJ to aid with Sandy relief. Our volunteers have helped with an array of tasks, including dry-walling, sheet rocking, sub-flooring, and more.
One volunteer, Ron, described his experience: ...Then there is the type of work you are doing, dry walling. It is a job where you see a huge difference in appearance in short period of time giving you the impression that you have done a lot – particularly when people are thanking you all the time.
While the shore affiliates are still working out plans for homes to rehab, we hope to begin sending groups of volunteers on a regular basis in the near future. Residents are also in need of various supplies, including laundry detergent, construction garbage bags, and new pots and pans. Habitat of Trenton needs new tools to help with the rehab work.
